In Practice
In Practice is a newsletter that seeks to bring insights from literature, philosophy and culture to everyday life. I believe that there is widespread need for arts and humanities perspectives. But we are not good at addressing that need because we’re captured by existing institutions and ways of thinking.
In Practice approaches culture globally, so I will often include travel-related observations. Going outside established institutions also means being open to new nonprofit and commercial endeavors, so I will be reporting on cultural entrepreneurship. Finally, In Practice is curious about technology and tools, from traditional thinking tools to AI-enabled ones, so I will engage with new technologies and applications.
Posts will appear roughly every two weeks. In between, I sometimes share short Notes—passages, observations or fragments that are part of the same ongoing inquiry.
